3 Ways to Save 3 Hours Per Day
1/15/2020
Hustler, I know youâre rushed for time. Youâre out there doing #allthethings, but no matter how hard you work, you still end the day tired and stressed, with an unfinished to-do list to boot. Donât you wish there were more hours in a day?! What if I told you some tricks I learned that actually SAVED time? If you give me three minutes, Iâll give you three ways to save three hours per day. *Itâs a time-saving trio!* Time-saver tip #1: Create customizable email templates
I used to spend at least two hours each day responding to emails. *Talk about a time sucker!* When I really started paying attention, I found myself saying the same things over and over again. >>By simply creating a list of my 15 most common email responses and writing up some email templates, I now spend HALF the amount of time in my inbox than I used to!<< My new rule of thumb is if I have to write the same email response more than twice, I create a template for it! Just leave a few places open for customization for each client and bingo, you just got back some time, my friend! ![]() Time-saver tip #2: Track your hours
I used to spend a ridiculous amount of time getting distracted by doing things that felt like work, with nothing to show for it in the end. *cough, mindlessly scrolling Instagram, cough* I then learned about Parkinsonâs Law, which states that work expands to fill the time available for its completion. Raise your hand if youâre also guilty of filling in the time doing unproductive work! >>By tracking my time, I was able to stay on task, get a feel for how long a task should actually take, and rid myself of HOURS worth of distracted âworkâ!<< The solution I found to be most effective for tracking my time was using apps like Toggl and Everhour. You can bet I still scroll Instagram, but I do it for a limited amount of time AND when my other (necessary) tasks are completed! Time-saver tip #3: Get your groceries delivered
To be honest, I was embarrassed to admit my love affair with grocery delivery. I grew up poor, so there are certain privileges that felt like a luxury to me. Paying to have groceries delivered to my doorstep twice a week DEFINITELY seemed too luxurious. But then I realized something: >>Time is the ultimate luxury, and how we use this un-renewable currency is up to us.<< Now my groceries are brought to me at the push of a button. Yes, it may cost more when you factor in the delivery fee and tip, but the time that I save is worth it! I use Whole Foods Market through Amazon Prime, but Instacart is also great, and there are other national chains like Ralphâs that now offer delivery, too. *Hop on this luxury train with meâ¦choo choo!* >>Boo boo, no matter how much we wish for more time, we only have 24 precious hours in a day.<< Make the most of the time youâve been blessed with by making these small changes to see HUGE time-saving results!
