The Great Debate: Canon Vs. Nikon
10/30/2018
Back in the golden age of film photography, there were plenty of brands from which you could choose some awesome cameras, so this debate was a lot less prominent. Now we're in the age of digital photography, the two biggest players in the game are Canon and Nikon, but the question is, if you're a beginner photographer and you're going to buy one of them, which one do you go for? Picture this: I’m sitting with a small group within my mastermind and we’re talking about the most effective thing we can do for our businesses. Ya’ll know I *love* practical business strategies, so I immediately get into nitty-gritty tactics for Instagram and Facebook. Then my sweet friend Lori hits me with this:
I was like, are we about to get all warm and fuzzy right now? Because mama wants to get down to business! But she pressed on. She said to set aside 25 minutes to answer 3 practical, un-intimidating questions. As per her advice, I now believe every entrepreneur should complete the following sentences, and use them to jumpstart their businesses too. 1. Wouldn’t it be cool if… Oftentimes we want to talk ourselves out of a dream, but it is so important to give ourselves permission to imagine without expectation. When you ask yourself “Wouldn’t it be cool if…,” it invites you to disassociate from the outcome and not hold yourself to the end result. Write this down and allow yourself to dream freely, and you will see how easy it is to come up with 10-20 ideas. 2. If I had all the money in the world, I would… I was first asked this question a little over a year ago by my mentor James Wedmore. I said, “I would write, make videos and take photos, and empower people to live in their purpose and their passion when it came to their business.” He said, “Great. Now go and create it.” If money was no object and you weren’t tethered by bills and a mortgage, what would you REALLY do? Now, don’t wait: go and create it. 3. If I wasn’t worried people would judge me, I would… So many of us are worried about what other people will say about us. My friends, let me remind you that people will always judge you. Everybody is going to have an opinion; you’ll either be too old or too young, too fat or too skinny, too rich or too poor, and so on. If you’re afraid of being judged you must do nothing, say nothing, be nothing. But I don’t believe that is the life you have been called to. When you pursue your dreams and people inevitably pass judgement, just dust off your shoulders and keep going. After asking yourself these 3 questions, go out and do the thing you have been called to do. Dream for your business, friend. It is the greatest gift you can give to yourself and to the world. via RSSMix.com Mix ID 8230553 https://ift.tt/2StQ5TR 10 Best Apps for Time-Lapse Photography
